I have been getting this thought in my mind for quite sometime now and I think I really seldom blog now, so I really thinking of going to blog all these thoughts out.

As you can see from my title, I’m actually thinking of gathering up fellow iPhone developers, of course I’m not that ambitious, who am I to gather iPhone developers from all over the world? I mean at least those interested and especially those from Singapore, and perhaps being more ambitious, including Malaysia too. Well, but let us start talking just about those from Singapore and also those who wish to join in too.

I’m not sure how many of you actually google iPhone developers or tried searching for a Facebook group, and maybe you would end up with some Singapore iPhone User Groups like this SG iPhone Group, and I managed to find an Official iPhone Developers – Singapore too. Both on Facebook. If you trying to search for other user groups, forums, or community, undoubtedly you would end up with thousands if not millions of them.

What I noticed is they normally don’t have much activity and seldom meet up, not even online meet up. I am actually trying to gather those, look, I’m not organizing, I’m just trying to call for those sharing the same interest, which is those iPhone Developers, to join together, to discuss, to share, and to work on some really great and fun, or perhaps interesting apps to put up on App Store. Isn’t that sound good?

But I’m still thinking whether I should start out with a forum? a Facebook group? An iPhone Developer blog? Or anything else that just might click with some iPhone developers who care to join in and have fun together. I mean, why not? It could be building some very fun or very useful apps FOC, or maybe for a minimal of 0.99 cents?

To be frank, I’m still trying to find time pick up iPhone development, and I’m really interested to see more people around me, to join in, and sort of creating a community here, to create a market, as well as a need here. We can’t be waiting for people to employ? We should be creating the market itself and to get someone to employ us, to make it a lucrative market for everyone to join in, share the fun, get some rewards and cash, and perhaps landed in some really decent job with some really cool company. Who knows? Maybe someone from here might go out and setup a company really cool and comfortable for iPhone Developers?

I can see a lot of individual, hobbyist, or perhaps small groups of developers working on apps, and the rest working as a team in some companies. Those big guy will still make some big money, but those smaller groups of developers do make pretty decent income too. I really see the opportunities there to get together, brainstorm ideas, sharing, and helping each others, it’s already pretty matured to develop apps for iPhone, with the joining of iPad, the market for developers are really huge and I think everyone is eyeing on that, why those in Singapore and neighboring countries can’t do something great like our fellow developers from overseas like Europe continents, and US?

We can be as creative and innovative as them, just spent time, put in efforts, and perhaps joint efforts if you are working as a team, to make some great apps that’s really popular or selling enough?

Just some thoughts here. But well, maybe US99 of iPhone Developer Program could some time be an issue there. it’s about SGD150 a year. But if you’re making money or try out for fun, I think the investment of SGD150 still quite worth it.

News about kids and some great developers from Singapore had already motivated us enough to get started, but we’re still somehow lost and not-so-organize. We should get ourselves organized and get things going. I believe sooner or later, we will see iPhone developers really forming up a community by itself and running, which would be great.

Head FIrst iPhone Development might be an interesting book to get started with, if you don’t want to jump here and there to pick up the development skill set you need. Otherwise, iPhone Developer Centre would be a great place for you to pick up by jumping from tutorials to tutorials.

Let me know how you think, if you can really hear me out there! Give me some comments and feedbacks ;-)

Nite nite my fellow geeks!

And you know what? It’s now in the top 10 most popular Twitter Client list even though it has just been released not long ago! Cool, I was always waiting for cool updates from Team Seesmic. Before this, they have Seesmic for Facebook, which is still in preview version and it can’t capture comment and/or likeness and other features of Facebook status update yet. But I can’t deny that it’s a nice tool to use too.

Again, here is a screenshot for you on Seesmic for Facebook ;-)

I won’t go into much details on Facebook as it’s really still in preview beta version, quite simple, but good enough for preview!

Talking about Seesmic Desktop, it’s quite cool! You can put your friends or people you’re following into your own groups (up to you to create), and if you have more than one twitter accounts, you can login with multiple accounts too! Cool huh?

And what’s more? It’s announced that Facebook and Seesmic Web (Video Blogging Site) will also be coming soon to Seesmic Desktop, which we will see 3 most popular services integrated into one Desktop Client!

Here is a review or write-up from another author on Seesmic for Facebook, feel free to read!

Can’t wait to try it out for the upcoming integrated client. But at the meantime, I do have a lot of feedbacks for Seesmic Desktop, together with features which I would like to see in Seesmic Desktop too!

I want the tweets update to include user photo and tweet content, which is currently showing as “You have 1 friend update” or something similar. And I would like to have the options to auto shorten my URL if it’s found at the last line or falls into the last few characters, it would be a nice feature to have!

Well, do share with them more after you’ve tried out Seesmic Desktop, the more people giving them suggestions and feedback, the better final version you could expect to have! ;-)

Tempted? Join me and the big family now! Visit Seesmic Desktop today and start using it! And don’t forget to try out Seesmic for Facebook too!
