Yes, I’m jealous! I’ve created a Go/Baduk/Igo/WeiQi forum for I think over a year now. Well, the number of members has since been increasing ever since I’ve started the forum, it’s encouraging, but not exciting! There is one member from the forum which has started his own Go Association in Malaysia, hence had also started a new room in KGS, the Kiseido Go Server, which is not moved to http://www.gokgs.com/ from http://kgs.kiseido.com/ I’ve promised him to build up his association website. In the end, he asked me to sponsor his domain and web space as well, which I think is quite unreasonable and I accepted unwillingly.

Ever since I fall sick and sufferred from back pain, I have told him that I will put the project on hold until I recover. Now, I think is the best time for me to tell him that due to my condition, I should only help him to design and do up the website and forum, but he will need to pay for the domain and hosting package on his own, since I need the money for my medical expenses. This is the fact though, I’m not making out stories to cheat anyone.

Well, this is not the only nightmare. What happen is he had started a MSN group and asked almost all of the active members in the forum to join in and add each other’s MSN contacts. Then what even worse is that he invited them to join the Go room he started in KGS! Oh my god, all my hard work for the past few years has been ruined by him! Arrgh! All the members now join his group and never bother to come to forum that much and always chat in his room. Well, maybe I have been too busy and hence I’m not that active in playing Go and forum. I think I must think of something to solve this disaster!

The first step I have taken is to start my own room for the forum too. I have since created a room specially for the forum and invite the members who had “betrayed” the forum and what they promised before to come and join the room. I’ve asked my German friend to join me too. Hopefully I can ask other friends to join in. I want to provide free lessons and try to play as much game as I can with members as well as other people who join the room. Why? Because the enemy is having two types of lesson accounts, one is paid to learn, the other is free to learn. All the while my aim is to promote Go and I don’t intend to charge, therefore, I want to try to roll out free teachings and lessons to all who are interested and join in FOC.

Yes, the title sounds very vengeful, but I’m not a vengeful man. Just to voice out something that I don’t really agree. The character of the human beings sometime did make you disappointed. You can be very nice to someone, yet they turn out to be very materialistic and calculative. Well, maybe I should really try to play more and be more active in the Go forum to make them come back. If I don’t play, they really said to me that it’s meaningless for them to continue if I’m not playing any game. They are now with other people in that room because they always chit chat and play there.

Well, enough of that. I’ve been to the Mines Wonderland in Malaysia, Serdang there, I think KL area. Btw, it’s World Chinese Bookfair, therefore I have no luck with English books there, I can only feed myself with Chinese books then. Haven bought back a few books and have compare it with the Singapore’s World Chinese Bookfair. Well, indeed it’s quite a different one in Malaysia and there was second floor too. Second floor is the so-called Stationary City, all the stationary was sold there. I’ve bought back two bookends for RM2, quite cheap. Plastic bookend to hold the books, to place your books firmly, so that you can keep them neat and tidy, and have easier access to any of the books, be it on the table or bookshelves.

The bookfair ended yesterday. Well, if I spot the stall again, I might grab some bookends again, hehe… Ok, book aside is quite a lot of variety to choose from, there are other like religious stalls as well, which they have books and CDs for sale too. I grab a few and I’m quite happy to bring them back with me tomorrow, this means I have more books to read. Well, some are just out of my curiosity that I grab it, though it’s not really of my interest (I mean the religious books). Then I bought myself a japanese novel, I think it’s quite inspirational. Translated into Chinese. The books should be quite popular as it has been translated into many languages ever since it’s published in Japan many many years ago!

Well, I think I have quite a fruitful trip to KL. I will be back for some other activities and events too! Back to Singapore soon, I will miss my dear and KL. Take care all and may all those who are on the journey to overseas enjoy themselves and all the best to everyone of you!

This morning Madam Lau come to ask me about learning basic web designing. I remember that HP learning centre always offer free basic courses to people, both IT and non-IT related. Of course if you want something that is more in depth then you need to pay.

Managed to go to the website and shown Mdm Lau the details to register and enrol for the course. End up enrol with my own account which I need to start the class too. Haha! But it’s ok, just learn the basic web designing start from scratch again, no harm learning! Hehe…

Well, I might end up learning something from HP learning centre too. Might sign up for more courses that interest or attract me! Happy learning, school holidays is the best time to learn.

So envious to hear people working in gaming industry, work with a game production company, working on GTR2 currently. Wow, so nice. I always dream of working on games, regardless what is it, as long as I participated, I would be satisfied being involved in the production! I want to be a game programmer too! I don’t mind as long as the game is popular and hot. There’s where the satisfaction comes in!

Now what I can do is keep on upgrading myself and learn something new whenever I’m free so that I would stand a better chance when I change my job and shift to a new environment. I want to be the one that can valueadd to the company and get job satisfaction from work. That’s the win-win situation I want to see, I work hard, it’s being seen, well-rewarded, and I continue to contribute and satisfied with my work! Cool! Wonder I’ll be that lucky to get such a dream job or not? Well-paid, good welfare, and fixed working hours with some OT once in a while. Why need fixed working hours? So that I can upgrade myself and learn something new during free time, else I’ll become outdated!

Well, what should I do? Recently have been quite busy with work, but at the same time need some free time for my own stuff. But which should I put more time and efforts in it? Study my taiwan correspondent school short courses booklets? Read my Physics books? Learn my digital drawing (I think I have not been doing it quite long -.-”)? or to practice and horn my skills in GO? Hmm, I’m lost and have no idea of what to do now. Heave a sigh, can I?

I guess I mut have lost my focus on the things that I need to do. So many work to do until I almost get tied up with the work and become a robot for work. I wonder why teachers like Simon don’t wish to learn how to do video editing himself? Afterall he will be involved in the video club for Yishun Sec starting next year. Though he told me that he wanted to LEARN from me how to do video editing, but in the end I help him complete all the editings. Is that the right things to do? Learning become commanding people? Then how is he going to teach and guide the students for the new ECA? With no other choices, I have decided to be harsh to him and forced him to learn on his own. I don’t know whether he is happy with me or not, I only know that if I don’t do that, he is not going to learn! If so, next year when I start to teach IT Literacy courses, I would have no time for teachers like him or other teachers who like to assign those personal or tiny stuff to me and ask me to do it or complete it for them asap, as if I’m their personal assistant. Holy! You think I’m office boy? Cum IT technician? Or Technical helpdesk? Or your private cheap and highly overloaded slave? Sorry! I’m not! I’m here for the benefits of school and students, not for teachers. My job satisfaction come from students’ achievements and not from helping teachers to finish what they are tasked to do from MOE or their SH or HOD. That’s your work and not mine. I hate it the most. Why? When they asked me to help them, they can sit there relax and chit chat with each other, this is very obvious and common in the staffroom, don’t think that I’m blind or dumb enough to not to know what are you doing and what’s in your mind.

Well, enough. I don’t want to talk about it now. I shall decide on doing something that will benefit myself, my career, future, or helping students to pick up one more IT skills which will be vital for their studies, as well as their life. Whatever you want it to be, as long as it’s within my capabilities, I’m free and I know it, you are more than welcome to come and approach me. Please don’t say learn from me, I share with you not teaching you. Who knows? You might be better than me? Just that particular area you are not good at it doesn’t mean that you are not good right? So I can do my part by sharing my knowledge on the things that you are not really sure of or keen to know.

Well, I’m also saving and in search of a backpack (for normal use) to carry my stuff around when I travel between my home and my working place (which is Yishun Sec now), it would be much convenient for me to have a backpack which can support my back too. Why so? Because I’ve been suffering from lower-back pain recently, I need good support for my back while carrying around the backpack with me. I don’t need a big one, just one that is good enough, comfy, and good support for back, that’s all, the rest are really quite optional for me.

Well, hopefully I can choose what I want to do up to here. Since I have been writing a lot which is totally out of my topic. But well, life is always full of digressions, and full of surprise, you never know what will happen next minute, or what will you do and what you going to do next if you are not following strictly to your plans
